Our mission is to foster a vibrant community where youth pickleball athletes, of all levels, from recreational players seeking pure fun to driven competitors aiming for excellence can develop their skills, build lasting connections, and instill the essential values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth learned through team sports.
About The Palms
The Palms Youth Pickleball Club was established in 2026 to fill a gap that has gone unfilled for too long. While millions of youth aged 4 to 18 are rapidly taking up pickleball across the United States, they currently lack the structured environments, dedicated coaching, and standardized training pipelines widely available in traditional youth sports. Similarly, right here in Broward County, local kids have faced a critical gap, with almost nowhere to play, learn, experience, enjoy, get better, and truly belong.
Adult pickleball in South Florida grew faster than nearly any sport in the country. Youth pickleball did not follow. Families found open play built for adults, a handful of one-off camps, and very little in between: no season, no team, no coach who knew their child's name, and no next step for a player who turned out to be good.
We built The Palms to be that missing structure. Fourteen chapters across Broward County, each with its own home courts, its own coaching staff, and its own roster, all running the same curriculum under one crest. A family in Miramar and a family in Parkland sign up for the same club, the same standards, and the same pathway.
Kids stay in sports they enjoy
Nearly everything we do follows from that one fact. Our sessions are built around games rather than drills. Players are rallying inside the first ten minutes of their first session, because a child who spends that session in a line waiting to hit a ball off a cone learns that pickleball is waiting. The technical work (footwork, the third shot, kitchen discipline, shot selection) arrives when a player wants it, which is when it actually sticks.
That is not a lowered ceiling. It is how we protect the ceiling. A player who loves the game at nine is still playing at sixteen, and a player still playing at sixteen has somewhere real to go.
Enjoyment is the retention strategy. If a season is not fun, nothing built on top of it lasts.
Chapters are neighbourhood clubs. Same courts, same faces, same families, week after week.
Ambition is met, not managed. A player ready for more finds the next level already built.
To give every young player in Broward County an organized place to learn pickleball, a community to play it in, and a genuine route to the highest levels of the sport for those who want it.
How the club is staffed
Licensed coaches and parent volunteers
Our recreational program runs on the model that has served youth soccer, baseball, and basketball for decades: a licensed coach leads each site and owns the curriculum, and trained parent volunteers run stations, keep groups moving, and manage the sidelines.
- A licensed head coach at every chapter, every session
- Volunteer parents trained by that coach before they run a station
- Background screening and SafeSport training for every adult on court
- A published ratio so no group is ever under-supervised
Accredited coaches only
Every travel squad is led by a licensed coach holding at least one accreditation from a recognized certifying body. There are no volunteer-led travel squads at The Palms.

The Palms is partnered directly with academy, collegiate, and professional programs, so a player who wants the next level does not have to go looking for it alone. Chapter coaches identify players ready to step up, and the club makes the introduction.
